The faculties for all the courses at Galgotia’s are said to be good. There’s a good mixture of senior and junior professors. The seniors are very experienced and have taught at various reputed colleges in Delhi. The juniors make up their lack of experience with hard work and friendly approach. They give personal attention to each and every student and make sure that everyone follows what they’re teaching. GCET has experienced faculties for all the branches and students feel that electrical has best teachers amongst all. The GBS students really like their Economics and French professors because they not only know their subjects well but are also very helpful when it comes to clearing their doubts. So in all Galgotia’s have some of the best faculties among all the Greater Noida colleges.

Galgotia does probably have the best campus amongst all the Greater Noida colleges. It is vast and looks beautiful with lush green lawns at the centre surrounded by nice academic blocks and hostel buildings. Each department has a separate building, which is provided with all the necessary amenities like classrooms, labs, libraries, internet connectivity etc. All the buildings are centrally air-conditioned and the entire campus is wifi enabled. The campus is very well maintained, lawns are regularly mowed and books in the library are arranged daily. Each department has a library of their own, which are well stocked and there’s also a digital library which can be accessed from college intra-net.

Engineering (GCET) has got best placements among all Greater Noida. Some of the companies that visit the campus for recruitment are Microsoft, Google, Syntel, L&T, HCL, Infosys and TCS. All the students get placed and many even get multiple job offers. The average salary the students get is around 3.5 Lakh rupees while the highest package a student got offered was 5.25 Lakh rupees. The placements for GBS and GIMT are not as good as GCET; still many students do manage to get jobs in the campus placements.

Galgotia’s Educational Institutions (GEI) is located in Knowledge Park 2 area of Greater Noida. It is quite inaccessible for those travelling from Delhi. Botanical garden and Noida sector 18 on the blue line are both more or less equidistant from the college. It takes about 40 minutes’ bus ride from there to college. Those travelling from Noida and Ghaziabad opt for private buses, which drop you at Pari Chowk which is another 20 minutes’ walk from the college. However most people prefer to stay as a PG in areas nearby the college, which is a wise thing to do, considering it may take as much as 2 hours of travelling one way.

One of the canteens is air-conditioned, the mess is huge and the food they serve is tasty and affordable. The CCD-Xpress is a franchisee of CCD but the rates are a little subsidized for college students and it remains open 24 hours. So having your meals here shouldn’t be an issue.

There’s Ansal Plaza, which is the only nearby hangout for all KP-1, 2 and 3 colleges. Apart from this there’s nothing much very near the college except other colleges (about 150 of them and many more still coming up), which compels the students who get bored of Ansal Plaza to travel up to NOIDA or Delhi. There’s also a place called Jagat farm market near Knowledge Park – 1 where there are a lot of shops and local eating joints.

Galgotia has got a happening crowd which actively participates in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities with equal enthusiasm. People here are friendly and mixing, seniors are also co-operative and ragging is strictly prohibited. About 50% of the students belong to Delhi while the rest are from UP. Many of the students who stay in Delhi & NCR have opted for the college hostel while there are also a good number of students who like to travel daily to college with friends. There are less girls in GCET but overall the girls to boys ratio on campus is 50 – 50.

G-Quasar is the grand annual festival of Galgotia’s Educational Institutions held in February. The festival sees a lot of participation from all the NOIDA and Greater Noida colleges. Famous singers and bands like KK, Indian Ocean has performed here in past years. Laser show is one of the favourite events among students. All the students have a great time during preparation of the fest and during the festival days. Apart from this other events like fresher’s, farewell and various competitions keep the students busy throughout the year.
