The faculty for Taxation and Business Law is something students love to attend. The teachers are pretty experienced, well versed with their respective topics and teaches well, too. There are only a few experienced teachers while the rest are freshers and need enough practice in their respective topics. While the lectures are conducted in English, there are a few who prefer Hindi.
Visiting faculty from colleges like IIFT, FMS, MDI, IMI, SRCC and corporates like Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Microsoft, ICICI, UTI Bank, Reebok, etc are invited here.

JIMS, Kalkaji campus is pretty small still manages to have a green beautiful garden right at the entrance of the college. The college building looks well and all the classrooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with amplifiers, Wi-Fi and High speed internet for effective delivery of lectures in classrooms. A rich well stocked library has books covering all management subject required for MBA/PGDM. A spacious auditorium with all audio-video aids is at the disposal of students. All in all, the infrastructure is pretty good and is one of the best out of all the JIMS in Delhi.

Amongst all the JIMS in Delhi, the Kalkaji campus has a good record for placements. But when compared to the high profile B-schools, it's certainly less. Big companies like companies like Deloitte, ITC,Titan, Berger Paints,ICICI Bank, KPMG, Capital IQ, Asian paint, Nestle, Naukri.com, HT Media etc come to the college during the placement season and offer salaries of something around Rs. 9-10 lakhs per annum. The highest package was 11.75 LPA. But not many get into the giants of finances and marketing and thus local Delhi based companies recruit students for an average salary of Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum. About 90% of the students get placed, which is pretty good for any B-School.

Jagannath International Management School, usually preferred to be called as JIMS, is right next to the famous Kalkaji Mandir in South-East Delhi. The college is easily accessible by metros and DTC buses as Kalkaji has a good connectivity to all parts of Delhi. Even though it’s located in Kalkaji, the nearest metro station is Nehru Place on the violet/purple line and is around 10 minutes walking from the station. DTC buses which have an excellent frequency drops you right outside the college gate. In short, accessibility to the college shouldn’t be a thing to worry.
PS: Most of the students prefer to travel by their private vehicles, generally cars. RICHIES!

The college canteen is pretty bad and there is no co-ordination between the management and the canteen. Students prefer to eat at Morning Choice, the so called and so believed college canteen, and is probably a few steps away from college.

The campus life isn’t that hectic as students aren’t loaded with assignments all the time. As the college is located in South Delhi which is considered as one of the posh areas of the city, you’ve many places to chill. South Extension or South-ex, Nehru Place, New Friends Colony and the ultimate destination for anyone, Connaught Place (CP).

As the college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), fondly called as IP, most of the students at JIMS, Kalkaji are from Delhi and the NCR belt-Gurgaon, Noida and Ghazibad primarily. Students from other cities of India are not seen much here. Boys to girls ratio is almost equal and the overall crowd is less nerdy and believes in enjoying life.

Even though there are better MBA colleges in the city of Delhi, Jagannath International Management School (JIMS), Kalkaji is certainly one of the best amongst all the JIMS. It is an upcoming college and Delhi aspirants should certainly consider it if they can't make it to top b-schools of the country.
