Faculty of MVJCE’s management department are just about average. Finance department is better than marketing as marketing has a lot of junior, inexperienced teachers. First years gets some visiting faculties from other MBA colleges in Bangalore. Students find them better than the permanent ones and they know their subjects well.

The campus puts up a pleasant environment; enough parking space, gardens, cafeterias and an outstanding auditorium. But the academic infrastructure for MBA is very poor. They are accommodated in the same building with the engineering. In fact they have only half a floor at their disposal in which there are no projectors or presentation rooms, just a couple of classrooms. Internet is another issue; there's no Wi-Fi facility, and LAN isn't too reliable either. Internet labs have very few computers half of which aren’t working.

Placements are almost non-existent in this college. Last year only one company had come to campus and selected a couple of students.

MVJ College of Engineering (MVJCE) is located in Channasandra, a village-like area little beyond White Field in far-eastern Bangalore. It is very far but accessibility isn't all that bad and BMTC buses like 304, 305, 306, 321 etc. ply from Majestic and Shivajinagar. The college also provides bus facility. A year but most students still prefer BMTC services.

MBA students are allowed to use the hostels of MVJ College of Engineering (MVJCE). Hostel facility is decent with single, twin and triple sharing options available. They are really strict in the hostel.

Another positive for this college, a big spacious and well organized canteen serving tasty food at extremely reasonable rates. 'Naan Curry', 'Chana Bhatura' and 'Noodles' are most popular amongst students here.
There's also a Coffee Day outlet, right beside the canteen, for those who are looking for some change.

Majority of the students are local. Students are from commerce background and hardly anyone is having a work experience.

Campus life is very depressing out here. First the college is very particular about attendance and recommends 85% in each subject. A further 10% relaxation may be granted on producing valid medical documents or other such genuine reason, but anything below 75% and expect to get detained.
Also a lot of disciplinary rules such as dress code of formals for boys and Punjabi suits for girls, no mobiles allowed, no hanging around in the campus during lecture hours, i-cards to be worn all the time, boys & girls to sit in separate rows in class are strictly adhered to.
There is no separate management festival of MVJ but 'Swayam' is an intercollege cultural festival celebrated by MVJ College of Engineering sometime in April and MBA students also participate in it. Besides that, they have the usual ethnic day, annual day or college day.

Doing MBA from MVJCE is not a wise thing to do and students who are currently studying here are regretting to have taken admission here. They rate the college merely 3 on a scale of 10 and advice others to find a better college if they can.

Seminars are conducted twice or thrice in a semester by corporates. Students don’t find them interesting but sit through it just because attendance is compulsory.
First year students are taken for a local industrial visit once a year. Second years are promised an outstation IV but aren’t generally taken.
