Again those with high expectations will be letdown. A few experienced professors are really good, some others, though not very experienced, are tolerable and the remaining 2-3 are best stayed away from. Students say that the visiting faculty present slightly more interesting lectures.

Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is hosted in a small campus which is cluttered with numerous buildings like the ones for BIT itself, VS Dental College, VV Puram College of Science, College of Law and hostels. The only open space left out after this is the one between these buildings and it hardly sums up to anything. But apart from a lack of proper sports facilities and open spaces, classrooms, library and labs are said to be fairly equipped. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled and connectivity is reliable. The department of MBA has, however, only been allotted one floor of the building and thus it feels cramped up at times.

Getting to the college is a cakewalk from any part of the city; just ask which BMTC bus takes you to “market” and 9 out of 10 people would know. Some of the buses that ply around this place include selected bus numbers amongst series of 31, 36, 45, 210, 211, 212, 215, 221, 242, 263, 285, 306, 313, 350 and many more adding up to a hundred-odd buses.

The boys’ hostel is on campus while the girls’ hostel is about 2kms from here. Right from a very frustrated one to a highly mediocre one, students hold mixed opinions about the hostels. However, they unanimously agree that the timings are too strict and the food is intolerable.

The crowd is a mix of sophisticated individuals, the usual mixing kind and some really disgusting groups. Most of the students come from B.Com & BBM backgrounds with only a handful having had work experience.

Campus life is pretty much restricted to lectures and academic sessions as Bangalore Institute of Technology’s MBA department is strict about attendance and discipline. Dress codes need to be followed & over 75% attendance needs to be maintained.
