Under which QUOTA do you fall?

Earlier, when a person was born to a higher and superior caste family, he considered himself/herself in the highest order, and boasted about the same. However, today, the scenario has been reversed. Nowadays, a student thanks his stars and fate if he/she has been born to a low caste family, reason, the reservation, in the education system. The most unlucky people are, most definitely the boys who are not only born to a low caste family, but whose religion does not fall into the minority quota of the dream college from where he wants to pursue his education. The reservations for gender, religion, and the caste, are the three worst banes of the Indian education system.

In all 50% of the seats are reserved. I'm not giving you the break up, as you can easily edify your knowledge by google-ing it. The point here is what about those other 50% of students who don't fall into any of the three reservations? Every year lakhs of worthy students miss out on getting admission to their desired colleges; and this is, in no way, in favor for the development of our country. Let's not forget that education is the foremost asset in deciding the country's advancement. Education moulds the youth of the country, by churning out the best abilities in them, which in turn helps in representing the country in the global market. However, in India, students have to amend with their dreams. Every year, large numbers of worthy students, fail in getting their preferred fields of studies, and colleges, only because they don't fall into any of the three categories of the reservations. Not only that, how would the unworthy ones sustain something that is beyond their capacity? To make it more explicable, we can say that, in India, the ones who want it don't get it, and the ones who does not have even an iota of that 'want', gets it. Today, Indians are realizing the importance of the education, they are dreaming big; and so, there is a deep-neck competition in every sector of the education system. However, this sorry state of our education system is causing a hindrance to the accomplishment of the dreams of thousands of apprentices, even after scoring high percentages of marks.

This problem of reservation in education system has led to many deeper and serious problems that our society has overlooked. Today, students are under a lot of pressure; and when they don't get the expected results, even after slogging the nights out, their mental state gets into a mayhem. In addition to this, they sometimes take drastic steps, like suicides; and the reservation system has done the work of adding oxygen to this fire. Many a student has lost faith, in our education system because of this reservation system, and this has forced them to pursue their studies from western universities than from India.

The one solution to all these problems is to abolish the reservation system. However, I know this task is as difficult as trying to pull down a wall by a single pair of hands. Yet, a wall can be brought down, only if it is shaken, and even the single pair of hands can do that. Thus, we need to shake this wall. Reservation for caste, and religion, will take time to be exterminated, but abolishing reservation for gender is the need of the hour. Today, women/girls are more capable, and are competent enough to face the world by standing on their own feet, they don't need the support of any wall. So reservation for gender should be eradicated right away, and so should the other two, with time, if we want to see our country among the 'developed' ones, and not among the 'developing' ones.
