One of the best faculties for MBA. It's my privilege to say that I finished my MBA with distinction. So good for everything!

Fabulous teachers. Senior, experienced and extremely skilled at teaching. “Pick any teacher at RNSIT and he/she must have been a HOD at some point of his/her life in one college or the other” says a student.

It’s not magnificent or anything but sufficiently good for an engineering college. All the academic facilities like classrooms, labs, Wi-Fi & library are up to the mark but what displeases the students is lack of proper infra for sports, music and other such extra curricular activities.

This college has one of the best placements and faculty. Definitely deserves to be in the top 5!! Its only getting better each year and may soon overtake other institutes.

CS department is truly the best and is known all over Karnataka for its awesome placements !!

RN Shetty Institute of Technology (RNSIT) has been recording 100% for all branches since the past many years and the trend is definitely here for many more years to come. Average salary is a notch higher than other average engineering colleges at Rs. 4.5L per year. Though most get placed in the usual IT companies, some MNCs like Microsoft also make a visit to the campus for recruitments.

RN Shetty Institute of Technology (RNSIT) is located in the Channasandra area of Rajarajeshwari off Uttarahalli-Kengeri main road. Although it’s far from the centre of Bangalore and takes about an hour from Majestic, accessibility is not an issue as BMTC buses ply close to the college at regular intervals of time. To name a few: 225C, 375A, 378, BC6. The college also provides bus services but there’s just one taker in a hundred.

The new hostel is fantastic and the charges per year including food are approximately Rs. 40,000/- Mess food is tolerable with good South-Indian food and not-so-good North Indian food. Some amount ragging is prevalent in hostels but nothing serious.

Yummy food at dirt cheap rates! Only if it had some provision to sit and eat. There are tables but no chairs and it gets too stuffy during lunch hours. Other than that there’s nothing to complain.
Besides the main canteen there’s also ‘Maggi’ kiosk if someone’s looking for a bit of change in taste.

‘Melange Hookah Parlour’ is a hot favourite amongst students here. Other than that, there are also a few restaurants and food stalls around the college.

If you are from an urban background with decent English skills, you are going to have a tough time. Such people are often misunderstood by lecturers and peers.

So if you hope to make a lot of friends out here, leave your English behind and go desi. Speak in Kannada or Hindi if you want to remain on most people's good side. Otherwise, people tend to isolate you (sometimes even hate you).

Also, people here have a pretty conservative outlook, deriving their most liberal values from Bollywood or Sandalwood films at best. So be careful about what you say. RNSIT is not the place for sharing opinions or political debates.

If finding a girlfriend is a priority, you can forget about RNSIT. Although some girls here enjoy partying, they are pretty stiff with their priorities too. So don't expect to get past friend-zones. No loose chicks here.

It’s got the typical engineering crowd; loads of nerds & manly girls. Crowd is predominantly urban with a 50-50 ratio of people from Karnataka and Rest of India. A handful of cool guys and a few beautiful girls (if you’re lucky) can also be seen.

3 festivals are pompously celebrated at RNSIT: “Pulse” – the annual technical-cum-sports festival “Parichay” – the intra college cultural festival “Pantheon” – the inter college cultural festival (happens in end-March or April)

RN Shetty Institute of Technology (RNSIT) is pretty chilled about attendance as long as you are doing well academically. RNSIT recommends a 60%, but students claim to have scraped through even with attendance as low as 20%. “They let you off in the odd sems, but in even sems you need to cough up some nominal fines. Detentions happen, but only in extreme cases”

RNSIT is a very good college.. its only aim is to provide quality education and not to trouble students by fixing heavy fees for admissions... far better than PESIT. Trust me
