Teachers at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) put in their best efforts to ensure that good engineers pass out from here. Most of the professors have over 10 years of teaching experience and many of them are PhD holders. EEE is said to be the front runner amongst all departments at VJIT while a few IT students are disappointed with the teaching to an extent, mainly because of some inarticulate teachers.

The campus is relatively small but it's extremely well maintained and pleasing. Everything from labs to classrooms is fine and there's hardly any issue that bothers students on this front. Wi-Fi isn't yet available but the digital library allows everyone to surf the Internet with absolutely no restrictions within the notified timing.

Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) manages to place around a quarter of the students in every batch. Infosys is the major recruiter followed by Wipro. There are few or recruitments for Mechanical Engineers in core companies and they have to settle for IT jobs or hunt for one by their own. Overall, the scenario is bleak but there's hope. And scope for improvement.

Although Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) is well beyond Hyderabad's city limits, reaching the college isn't too difficult as it's right at the main road leading up to Chilkur Balaji Temple. RTC buses like series of 288, 444 and 446 serve the area with a frequency of as good as 5 minutes. Most bus routes, however, run between Mehdipatnam and Moinabad and thus, students residing in other areas prefer using the College Buses.

It's small and uncomfortable. Food is average. Fast food is more popular. Rates are a little expensive.

People come from different parts of the state with Hyderabad contributing to about half of them. Quite an enthusiastic lot though. All are friendly, approachable and easy to gel with.

'Phoenix' is the annual inter-college festival celebrated at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT). It's a 4-day fest - two days have technical events while two days have cultural events. There's a sports week sometime in January and a management fest organized by its Management department apart from 'Phoenix'

Numerous rules have been laid out and students have to strictly adhere to them. 75% attendance is mandatory and up to 65% may be allowed if you have genuine medical reasons. No one is supposed to enter or leave the campus between 9:30 am to 3:00 pm (college timing) except for the lunch time, when you can leave only after depositing your Id-Card with the security. (Beware! You'll only be inviting trouble if don't return before the lunch hour ends)

Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) happens to be one of the best engineering colleges in Moinabad, and rightly so. Abolishing a few unnecessary restrictions would perhaps bring more cheer.
