Every department has a couple of highly qualified senior professors with over 15 years of experience; but most of the subjects are covered by mediocre teachers who've been teaching since past 5-7 years. "It's manageable" remarks a computer science student at Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET). However, the condition in the newly introduced Civil Department is much worse. Students claim that professors are insufficient, not that the existing ones are any good. They hope things gets better.

Choosing lords was the worst decision of my life.
Faculty do not have appropriate communication skills.
Even our HODs doesn't follow proper dress code. Moreover the language they use is very harsh and unacceptable.
Even our principal doesn't have proper communication skills.

The campus is sufficiently big and has loads of open spaces for sports and leisure. The academic block, too, is nicely looked-after. Labs are well-equipped and the library provides abundant books. Internet through Wi-Fi is also accessible in certain areas. However, there's no college hostel at Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET).

Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET) claims to place over 150 students every year. However, the students have a different opinion; they say that not more 100 job offers are made. Infosys, Wipro, IBM account for half of these while some mid-level local companies account for the other half.

Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET) lies adjacent to the Jawaharlal Nehru Outer Ring Road, near Himayat Sagar Lake, in the extreme outskirts of western Hyderabad. A couple of RTC buses in the 288 series drop you right at the college, but if you miss one of them, you would have to wait for at least half an hour before the next one comes. Alternately, you could take a bus up to Kali Mandir Bus Stop and walk the remaining 2 kilometres or take a share-auto. About a third of the students use College Bus Services which cost Rs. 12,000 for a year.

College canteens usually provide relief to students during stressed times. Here, the canteen opens only during lunch hours (12:30 pm to 1:30 pm), and it's so chaotic that stress levels may rise instead of dropping. Moreover, it doesn't serve good food so it's best to stay away.

Some farms in the adjacent areas maybe. Nothing else. You aren't supposed to wander outside the campus anyway! When gates open in the evening, head straight home.

Over two-thirds of the students are residents of Hyderabad itself, while the remaining come from other parts of the state. Crowd is sincere and inclined towards academics but there's that fun factor missing. So if you're the chilled out type, you'll be bored to death.

Different departments organize a few workshops which provide a decent opportunity to learn interesting co-curricular stuff. There's no huge fest celebrated at Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET), though.

Students with over 65% attendance are let off with warnings and nominal fines. If attendance falls further, parents may be summoned and extra fines may be levied apart from the usual bashing from the HOD. However, nothing below 40% is tolerated and there have been instances when defaulters were barred from appearing for exams.
College timing is 9:30 am to 4:15 pm and once the gates are closed at 10:00 am no one is supposed to enter or leave the campus without necessary permissions (which aren't easy to get).

Geeks may like Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET) as their lookout is not enjoyment. However, being engineers we can survive anything, isn't it? A good bet for an average scorer in this part of Hyderabad.

It's better to waste your year and go for a long term coaching in EAMCET than choosing lords.
