Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR)
Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR) is located on the Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, a 5 minute mini-ride by bus from Saket Metro station on the Yellow line. For those who wish to avoid the metro, it has got good bus connectivity as well – 419, 423, 522, 463, 525, 717 & 469 are some of the buses that drop right at the gate of the college.
The campus is comparable to most of the older reputed institutes around the country – separate girls and boys hostel, playgrounds, open lawns and various recreational facilities can be found here. The academic block home to one of the finest lecture halls which are all air-conditioned and equipped with LCD projectors is worth appreciation. The library is divided into two parts; one part consists of a reading room which is spacious and has good seating arrangements whereas the other part has a great collection of books including a few medical books. Wi-Fi campus is an add-on.

- Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
- Master in Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
Rs. 20,000/- per year
The students are dissatisfied with the teaching and say that there are few professors who are knowledgeable, have good industry experience and actually keep interest in the students’ learning. “Others come to class with the only intention of finishing off the syllabus” says a disappointed student. “Practicals are even worse” says another.
DIPSAR is quite relaxed when it comes to attendance. The students are told to maintain above 75% attendance but if it’s lower at the end of the year they are just asked to submit extra assignments as compensation.
Most of the students, being Delhi-ites come from an urban background. A lot of them come from east Delhi and Gurgaon areas as well. A small chunk of them come from the village-like areas of Najafgarh and Dwarka.
The college is located on the main road and there’s hardly anything nearby. Students generally spend free time in the campus itself and go to PVR Saket for movies.
The canteen is quite big and is divided into two parts – A.C. and Non A.C. – a feature perhaps unique to DIPSAR. It is spacious enough and serves good quality food.
The placements at DIPSAR were one of the best just a few years ago, but in recent years it has plummeted. Only 10% of the students manage to get jobs on campus, the others have to opt for higher studies or hunt for jobs on their own.

Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences And Research (DIPSAR) is known to be one of the most reputed pharmacy institutes in the country but the quality of education here is said to be degrading in the recent years. However, the legacy it has created still works wonders with many Universities abroad and if you’ve firmly decided of pursuing masters in the field of pharmacy from Universities offshore, DIPSAR should be first on your mind. Wavering minds must try to avoid it due to the lack of opportunities/choices that might be faced after graduation.
