Firstly the professors are hopeless, so students usually land up with bad scores

The infrastructure at Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering is neither magnificent nor something to complain about. The college does not have a ground, but that is perhaps the only thing lacking, except of course a less number of computers (which is being improved in recent times). It boasts of Wi-fi connectivity on campus. It also has hostel facilities for students. The hostels are available at a charge of around Rs. 30,000/- annually, but aren’t really very good. Students claim that gym fees are included in the fee structure but no gym actually exists.

Except for Civil Department more than 30 students every 60 are placed, with maximum placements happening in TCS, KPIT, L&T, Infosys. E&TC and Computers record the best placements at RSCOE. Only a handful (about 10-15) civil students manage to get placed. The average salary is about 2.5 lakhs per annum.

On top of that when it comes to placements you will hardly find students getting placed in some good companies..

Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering is located off the Mumbai-Pune expressway, right next to the D Y Patil Institute of Hotel Management but in such far & inaccessible locality that regular commuting is next to impossible. The college offers it own bus services for students, but you have to shell out around Rs 15000 yearly to avail the facility.

Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering has a huge and roomy canteen. The food is also very cheap. There is nothing extra-ordinary about the food, but it is simple and decent.

The Joshi Vadewala, Rohit Vadewala are famous vada pav joints that are located nearby. The Omkar mess is another eating option. A bike is absolutely essential to commute to some other alternative places.

The crowd is average. Roughly 1 in every 6 is an outside Maharashtra student. Many others come from small & remote villages in Maharashtra with the aim of becoming great engineers one day and earn a living for their families. With their parents going to great lengths to pay such high fees, they really don't wish to take any chances and are hence delved into studies most of the time.

Extremely strict. The attendance is so strict that even if 2-3 lectures are bunked, they call you on your phone. And if you're not able to give them a nice little excuse, parents are immediately summoned. A few students with really low attendance are even detained.

Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering (RSCOE) is a decent college with one of the best results in Pune University. However, its inaccessible location is a big disadvantage. If you really want to study, then you can surely come here, otherwise better stay away.
